Privacy Policy for Stream Tracker

This Privacy Policy explains how Stream Tracker for Twitch Live (“Stream Tracker,” “the app,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information. Stream Tracker is operated by Edouard Barbier, who is the data controller for the information described in this policy.

By connecting a Twitch account or otherwise using Stream Tracker, you acknowledge the practices described below. Some features require particular information or permissions to work. Optional features remain optional.

1. Information we process

Twitch account and channel information

When you connect Twitch, Stream Tracker receives information from Twitch according to the permissions you approve. Depending on the features you use, this may include:

Your Twitch user ID, login, display name, profile image, channel description, broadcaster type, and authorized permission scopes.
Channel statistics and activity, such as follower, subscriber, viewer, and Bits information; stream history; clips; schedules; categories; and live-channel information.
Information about followers, unfollowers, subscribers, and unsubscribers, such as Twitch IDs, display names or logins, profile images, relationship dates, broadcaster type, subscription tier or plan, and gift information.
Information about channels you choose to track or compare.
Information needed to carry out actions you request on Twitch, such as managing schedules, broadcast details, clips, ads, chat settings, announcements, shoutouts, polls, predictions, or raids.

We use this information to authenticate your Twitch account, provide the app’s tracking and creator tools, display current and historical information, detect changes over time, operate widgets, and perform Twitch actions that you initiate.

Authentication information

Stream Tracker processes Twitch authorization codes, access tokens, refresh tokens, token expiry information, and granted scopes. Current Twitch credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain. Our authentication service temporarily processes authorization codes or tokens to exchange or validate them with Twitch and to create a Firebase session linked to your Twitch user ID. It does not use those credentials for an unrelated purpose.

Information stored for app functionality

Stream Tracker stores some information on your device and some in Firebase Realtime Database:

On-device and shared widget data may include your Twitch profile and channel data, tracked channels, follower and subscriber snapshots, stream logs, schedule information, goals, preferences, premium status, experiment assignments, reminder settings, and cached widget content.
Cloud records may include your Twitch user ID; follower and subscriber histories; unfollower and unsubscriber histories; daily follower or subscriber counts and timestamps; purchase or failure records generated by supported app flows; and information needed to synchronize or provide app features.
Firebase Authentication maintains an app authentication record whose identifier is your verified Twitch user ID.

Signing out clears current credentials and active widget data, but Stream Tracker intentionally preserves certain on-device account-specific history and preferences so they can be restored if you reconnect the same Twitch account. Signing out or disconnecting Twitch does not by itself delete cloud records. See Section 7 for deletion choices.

Collab Hub information

If you enable Collab Hub, the app stores and makes your collaboration profile available to other Stream Tracker users. This profile may include your Twitch ID, display name, profile image, broadcaster type, follower count, premium status, bio, stream schedule, contact preference, preferred categories, languages, and activity or opt-in timestamps.

Disabling Collab Hub removes your profile from active discovery surfaces, but the underlying account record may remain until it is no longer needed or you request deletion.

Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple. Stream Tracker and RevenueCat process an app user identifier, product identifiers, purchase and subscription status, transaction or receipt information, entitlement status, purchase dates, and related technical information to validate purchases, restore access, prevent fraud, provide customer support, and analyze purchase performance. We do not receive your full payment card or bank account details.

Analytics and diagnostics

Stream Tracker uses Firebase Analytics and Mixpanel to understand how the app is used and to improve its features. Depending on the event, analytics data may include:

App launches, screens viewed, buttons or features used, flow completion, experiment assignment, and notification interactions.
App version, device and operating-system information, language, approximate location inferred from an IP address, and app-installation or service-generated identifiers.
Premium or free status, product IDs, feature source, aggregate channel counts, and limited account or error context when needed to understand whether a feature worked.

Mixpanel is configured to use its European endpoint. It is identified with a service-generated RevenueCat app user ID rather than your email address.

Stream Tracker uses Firebase Crashlytics for crash and stability reporting. Crash reports may contain crash traces, application state, logs or actions immediately preceding a crash, timestamps, app version, device model, operating-system information, available memory or storage information, and installation identifiers.

We do not use this information to show third-party advertisements, and the app does not request permission to use Apple’s advertising identifier for cross-app tracking. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Notifications and remote configuration

If notifications are enabled, Apple and Firebase Cloud Messaging process a device or app-installation identifier, push token, notification delivery information, and notification interactions so notifications can be delivered and opened. Stream Tracker also uses Firebase Remote Config, which may process an installation identifier and technical request information to provide app configuration and feature settings.

You control notification permission in iOS Settings. Some reminders are scheduled locally on your device.

Photos, video, and generated media

When you choose a photo, take a photo, download a Twitch clip, or create promotional media, the app processes that content on your device to provide the requested editing and export features. Stream Tracker does not upload personal photos or generated media to our servers. Content leaves the app only when you choose to save, export, or share it, in which case the destination you select handles it under its own terms.

Support and feature requests

If you contact support, submit feedback, or use the feature-request board, we process the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, requested feature, votes, and attachments. A support email started from the app may also contain pre-filled diagnostics, including iOS and device model, app version and build, Twitch username and ID, Stream Tracker purchase-service ID, follower and subscriber counts, premium status, product history, and original app build. You can review or remove this text before sending the email.

Support and feature-request services may also receive ordinary network and technical information such as IP address, device type, operating system, app version, and timestamps.

2. How we collect information

We collect information:

Directly from you when you connect Twitch, configure the app, enable Collab Hub, create content, contact support, or submit feedback.
From Twitch through its authorization and API services after you grant permission.
From Apple and RevenueCat in connection with purchases and subscriptions.
Automatically from the app and device through analytics, crash reporting, push notification, and remote configuration services.

3. Why we process information

We process information to:

Provide, personalize, maintain, and synchronize Stream Tracker and its widgets.
Authenticate your account and communicate with Twitch on your behalf.
Store historical channel information and identify changes such as new followers, unfollowers, subscribers, or unsubscribers.
Operate optional features such as Collab Hub, notifications, clip editing, and support.
Validate purchases and provide premium access.
Measure feature use, test product changes, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
Respond to support and privacy requests and comply with legal obligations.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our agreement with you to provide requested features, your consent for optional permissions and sharing, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the app, and compliance with legal obligations. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it as described in Section 7. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

We disclose information only as needed for the purposes in this policy:

Twitch provides account and channel information and carries out Twitch actions you request. Twitch handles information under its Privacy Notice.
Google Firebase and Google Analytics provide authentication, cloud functions, database storage, analytics, crash reporting, push delivery, and remote configuration. Google describes these services in its Firebase privacy information.
Mixpanel provides product analytics. See Mixpanel’s Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat processes subscription, purchase, entitlement, and app user information. See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.
WishKit provides the feature-request and feedback board. See WishKit’s Privacy Policy.
Apple distributes the app, processes App Store purchases, provides device permissions, and delivers push notifications. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Other recipients you select receive content when you use an iOS share sheet, email app, or export destination.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect users or the service, investigate fraud or abuse, or complete a business transfer subject to appropriate protections.

These providers may process information as our service providers or as independent controllers for their own services. We require service providers that process personal information for Stream Tracker to use it only for the services they provide and to afford the same or equivalent protection described in this policy and required by applicable law.

5. Where information is stored

Local app data is stored in the app’s private storage, iOS Keychain, and the private App Group container shared with the Stream Tracker widget.
Cloud app data is stored and processed using Google Firebase, including Firebase Realtime Database, Authentication, Cloud Functions, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, and Remote Config.
Product analytics is also sent to Mixpanel’s European endpoint.
Purchase and entitlement information is processed by Apple and RevenueCat.
Feature requests are processed by WishKit, and support email is processed by the email providers used by you and us.

Providers may process data in the United States, the European Economic Area, or other countries where they or their subprocessors operate. Those countries may have different data-protection rules from your country. Where required, transfers rely on recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or applicable data-transfer frameworks.

6. How long information is kept

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the app, maintaining historical tracking features, responding to requests, resolving disputes, preventing abuse, and meeting legal obligations.

On-device account history and preferences remain until they are removed by the app, you delete the app and its local data, or you request deletion where applicable. Twitch credentials remain until you log out, revoke access, or the credentials expire or are replaced.
Cloud tracking and Collab Hub records may remain while you use the service and until you request deletion or they are no longer needed for the feature.
Support and feedback records are kept for as long as needed to respond and maintain an appropriate support history.
Purchase records are kept as needed to validate or restore access and to meet accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal requirements. Deleting Stream Tracker data does not delete Apple’s independent transaction records.
Analytics and diagnostic information follows the configured retention periods of the relevant provider. Firebase Crashlytics generally retains crash reports and associated identifiers for 90 days before deletion begins. Google Analytics user- and event-level retention is controlled by the property’s configured retention period; aggregated reports may remain longer. Other providers retain data only as needed under their service terms or our instructions.

Information may remain for a limited additional period in backups or where retention is required by law. We may keep aggregated or de-identified information that can no longer reasonably identify you.

7. Your choices and data rights

Twitch access

You can revoke Stream Tracker’s Twitch access in Twitch Settings under Connections. You can also log out in Stream Tracker. Revoking access stops future authorized Twitch API access but does not automatically delete information already stored by Stream Tracker.

Optional permissions and features

You can change notification, camera, and photo-library permissions in iOS Settings. You can disable Collab Hub in the app. You can choose not to submit feedback, contact support, or export media.

Access, correction, deletion, and other rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent and complain to your local data-protection authority.

To make a request, email ebapps.customers+streamtracker@gmail.com with the subject Stream Tracker data request. Include your Twitch username or Twitch user ID and, if available, the Stream Tracker purchase-service ID shown in the pre-filled support diagnostics. Never send us your Twitch password or access token. We may ask for information needed to verify that you control the account.

A verified deletion request will cover Stream Tracker-controlled Firebase records and, where reasonably identifiable and applicable, data held for us by analytics, purchase, support, and feature-request providers. Legal exceptions may require us to keep limited information. If you appear in another user’s Twitch relationship history and want to ask about that record, contact us with your Twitch user ID.

Deleting Stream Tracker data does not cancel an Apple subscription. You must manage or cancel an active subscription through your Apple account settings. Deletion also does not delete your Twitch account or information controlled independently by Twitch or Apple.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including platform-provided protected storage and encrypted network connections. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Children

Stream Tracker requires a Twitch account for its account-based features and is not intended for anyone who is not permitted to use Twitch. Twitch does not permit children under 13 to use its services, and users between 13 and the legal age of majority must use Twitch under a parent or legal guardian’s supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child who is not permitted to use the service. If you believe this has occurred, contact us so we can investigate and delete the information where required.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, its providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy at the same URL and update the date above. If a change materially affects how we use information, we will provide additional notice where required.
